SPAR wholesaler James Hall & Co has replaced IT systems in its two recent acquisitions – forecourt and convenience distributor GAP and Clayton Park Bakery. James Hall is one of the UK’s top 20 grocery delivered wholesalers, servicing 500 independent and company owned stores across NW England from its distribution centre in Preston.
New acquisition GAP specialises in the distribution of brand leading products for the national and independent forecourt and convenience market, with a traditional focus on motor accessories and, more recently, toys and foodservice. Clayton Park supplies retail and foodservice outlets which include several well known spotrs clubs, like Liverpool FC and Everton FC. Both companies continue to supply their own customers as well as now also supplying James Hall’s SPAR customer base.
Both businesses rely upon telesales to drive new business and have implemented Accord’s telesales module in addition to purchasing, sales order processing and ledger functionality. In addition the GAP implementation included Accord’s Voice warehouse management system. Web and Mobile ordering is now being trialled together with Kitting for GAP and Manufacturing functionality for Clayton Park Bakery.
