Very disappointing to learn that Hermes is emailing its customers (via Parcel2Go) with the following message:
“Due
to the volume of parcels in the network and some technical issues at key
sortation points, your parcel delivery will be delayed by up to 5 working days.
Please continue to track your parcel for updates on its whereabouts but don’t
worry if it stands still for a day or two – everyone is doing their best to get
things moving as quickly as possible. We
thank you for your patience and assure you that we are monitoring the situation
very closely.In
the happy scenario that your parcel has been delivered, please ignore this
e-mail.”
This is not the time of year for service failures like this. Do let us know if you too are coming up against problems with any of the carriers you are trying to use.
