Pretty Green announces store opening programme

Pretty Green, the high end menswear retailer, has opened a new store in Westfield Shopping centre and expects its store in Spitalfields Market to open next Tuesday (9th December).

Pretty Green was launched in 2009 by Liam Gallagher to fill the ‘lack of cool clothes’ gap in the market. It currently operates 15 stores in the UK including London, Manchester, Glasgow and Brighton, five stores in Japan, an online store and over 100 wholesale doors.

The new stores will stock Pretty Green’s full offering including ‘Green Label’, the brand’s casual range and the ‘Black Label’; a range with an emphasis on tailoring. The aspirational rock star lifestyle is core to the Black Label design philosophy and inspiration is pulled from the heritage of music icons. This is clearly reflected in the AW14 collection which echoes elements from The Beatles individual styles, most notably John Lennon’s iconic guitar strap design.

Pretty Green also plans to launch six concessions within House of Fraser in spring 2015, including Belfast, Exeter and Middlesbrough. The brand will also be available on houseoffraser.co.uk.

As part of the company’s drive for expansion, Pretty Green recently hired former UK and Ireland Managing Director of G-Star, Pierre Darnton in the new role of head of international business and wholesale. His role will be to continue to build on the success of the Japanese stores in
Asia and look for opportunities to grow the brand internationally.

Richard Ralph, Chief executive at Pretty Green commented: “We are extremely excited to be opening two new Pretty Green stores in London, taking our total store portfolio to 17 for 2014. We are very thankful to our hard working team and loyal followers who have been an integral part of our success and growth over the last five years. We will continue to search for appropriate opportunities as we look to drive further expansion, both in the UK and internationally.”

The company has also relocated its London head office to a larger space in King’s Cross to support further UK growth plans.
