Michelin has acquired UK online tyre seller Blackcircles for £50 million. The business which was founded in 2002 achieved revenues of £28 million in 2013 and has a network of 1,200 associated tyre-fitting centres enabling customers to order online for local fitting. For its part, Michelin acquired a similar French business – Allopneus last month and expects that Blackcircles will now expand into Europe.
