Discount variety retailer Poundworld is to create 400 new jobs in the new 524,000 sq.ft. distribution centre it is developing in Wakefield to support the opening of a further 200 UK stores. The new DC is expected to be completed by Autumn 2016 and the new store openings will result in a further 4000 new jobs. TPG acquired a majority stake in the retailer earlier this year.
