Mountain Warehouse has launched a new athletic clothing brand for women under the name Zakti. Commencing with a range of 350 products for the gym, yoga, cycling, running, skiing, dance and swimming, two pilot stores have opened in London with plans to open a further ten next year. Key to success will be the price point as Zakti aims to be an affordable brand with its styling more commonly found in premium ranges. The retailer will also be launching a men’s range under the Zakti brand in 2016 and has its sights on taking the new venture to international markets.
