Patrick Headley has led an MBO of the GI Solutions business from private equity firm Grove Industries which had held a 60 per cent in the digital printing business. The new management team is led by Headley as CEO, with Robin Welch, who remains a shareholder, taking the role of executive chairman and adopting a two-day working week. In addition to the main digital print production operation, the deal includes GI Insight and GI Red, a creative agency, but excludes Syn Yang which has been acquired separately by Paul Thomas and will move to different premises. Syn Yang had focused on outsourcing print work to China.
