Tesco is mounting an offensive to retain its share of online grocery spend by offering consumers access to a same-day click and collect service at 300 of its stores. It applies to any order placed prior to 1pm and offers collection from 4pm for a charge of £2 per on Monday – Thursday, rising to £3 for Friday and Saturday. The service is not offered on Sundays. The move counters recent offers made by Amazon and Sainsbury’s in the increasingly competitive marketplace.
