DK Group – whose subsidiary businesses include DK Fulfilment Ltd and DK Group Packaging Ltd – has acquired the UK-based contract packing and supply chain services company, Lemonpath, for an undisclosed sum.
With a client base spread across the fashion, food and drink, giftware, garden, print, point-of-sale and DIY sectors, Lemonpath operates two facilities in the Midlands which, combined, provide 400,000 square feet of operating space. Lemonpath will retain its brand identity and the company’s founder, Chris Antliff, will continue in his role as Managing Director while also becoming part of the DK Group’s senior management team with wider responsibility within the organisation.
The acquisition is part of DK Group’s ongoing plan to grow its business both organically and through acquisition. With over 600 full-time employees and 10 strategically-located sites in the UK and mainland Europe, the DK Group is active in the automotive logistics, contract packing, online fulfilment and packaging sectors and sales for the current financial year are forecast to hit £45 million.
Kevin Higginson, DK Group Investments’ CEO, commented: “Lemonpath has very successfully grown revenues and profits over the last 10 years by providing consistently outstanding levels of customer service and I am delighted to welcome the Lemonpath team to the DK Group.”
Chris Antliff added: “By joining forces with DK, we have created a platform for growth for both Lemonpath and DK and I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues to drive the DK Group’s growth strategy forward over the coming years.”
