Following some 18 months of speculation, a Sky News report has revealed that the sale process for the Shop Direct business is underway. It is understood that the ultimate owners, the Barclay Brothers, are looking for bids upward of £3 billion for the business. Advent International, Bain Capital, BC Partners, Cinven, CVC Capital Partners and Permira are understood to have expressed interest to UBS which is leading the sale process.
