Hillarys which has 1300 employees and generated sales of £185 million in 2016 is being sold by Ares Capital Corporation to Hunter Douglas for a consideration of £300 million. Hunter Douglas is a group of 130 companies and operates in more than a hundred countries from its head office in The Netherlands. Hillarys will continue to be run by its existing management team under its new ownership.
