Majestic Wine has selected Relex Solutions, provider of integrated retail and supply chain planning solutions, to automate and optimise its supply chain. Majestic operates 210 stores in the UK and two in France, and also has a separate division which supplies independent restaurants and pubs. The retailer undertook an initial pilot of the system to improve its forecasting and availability whilst reducing inventory levels.
Neil Firth supply chain director at Majestic said “Relex completed a positive pilot which delivered excellent results and proved the business case for us to upgrade our supply chain processes. Our product availability increased 11.7 per cent in the six months ending September 2016 and Relex played a key part in this improvement.”
The solution will be fully rolled out by June 2017.
