Stephen Ayres, who had held the role of buying director at Avenue 32 which recently closed down, has been appointed by Shop Direct’s Very Exclusive division in a similar capacity. Ayres who had previously held fashion buying roles with the likes of Selfridges and Liberty, will report to Shop Direct’s fashion director Zoe Matthews in his new role.
