Javier Quinones has been appointed to replace Gillian Drakeford as UK and Ireland CEO for Ikea. He joins the business on June 1st and is promoted from the role of deputy retail manager. Meanwhile, Drakeford is to join Inter Ikea Systems as Ikea retail systems manager.
“I am so proud of what we have achieved to date in the UK and Ireland and I feel honoured to have the opportunity to join Inter Ikea Systems,” said Drakeford, adding “I’m looking forward to taking my next step in the business and having a positive impact on the future development of Ikea.”
Ikea now operates 21 stores in the UK and Ireland.
