Word has it that Amazon is set to open two new stores for its check-out free store offering. It launched its maiden store in Seattle in January within the complex which houses its HQ. Shoppers first need to download an Amazon Go app which is scanned as they enter the store with cameras and sensors then tracking what each shopper takes from the shelves in order to bill their credit cards automatically as they leave.
The new stores are understood to be planned for Chicago and San Francisco. There is no word yet as to whether the Amazon Go offering is destined for Europe.
