Joules increases annual revenues


Joules has announced an increase in its group revenues for the year to 27 May of 18.4 per cent. It cited a very good eCommerce performance and continued growth across its UK and Ireland store estate. Wholesale revenue was up by 24 per cent in a year in which the business said it had maintained promotional discipline and improved its international wholesale operations. CEO Colin Porter said : “Our multichannel approach and ‘buy now, wear now’ product position has enabled the group to deliver a performance ahead of our initial expectations, despite the widely reported challenges in the sector. We have made excellent progress.”

Revenues reached £185.9 million with international territories delivering 35.7 per cent growth to now account for 13.1 per cent of overall sales. Joules also opened 15 new stores during the period and is set to open concessions in Next and John Lewis over the coming 12 months.
