Farfetch acquires Chinese business

Farfetch has invested in a Chinese business – CuriosityChina – in order to better support the brands it’s working with which are targeting the Chinese market. CuriosityChina currently has a client base of around 80 upmarket fashion brands which are seeking to sell more products within China and to Chinese consumers when they visit overseas markets. Farfetch chief commercial and sustainability officer, Giorgio Belloli said that this move will open up new opportunities for UK brands in the Chinese market.

As part of the acquisition, all CuriosityChina employees transfer to Farfetch including its founders, one of whom, Judy Liu will become managing director, for Farfetch China.
