In what has come something of a stampede for CVA filings, Hilco is now understood to be seeking a CVA for Homebase. This would enable the closure of around 50 more Homebase stores and the loss of as many as 2000 jobs. Hilco acquired the Homebase business from Wesfarmers for the princely sum of £1 and has already cut 300 head office jobs.
