Jack Wills founder Peter Williams is understood to be poised to leave the business following disagreements over ongoing financing. If confirmed, this will be the second exit for Williams who returned to the business in 2015 with BlueGem providing investment. It is being suggested that Suzanne Harlow has been offered the CEO role held by Williams and that merely the negotiation of terms – which could see Williams selling his minority stake – delaying a formal announcement.
When Williams previously left Jack Wills in 2013 the business suffered a disastrous period which saw his then successor, Wendy Becker, off.
