Bonmarche has issued a profit warning with weak demand and lower footfall experienced in its high street stores due to the extended spell of warmer weather. It is however, seeing its online sales performing as forecast for its second quarter. The retailer is now expecting its underlying pre-tax profit to be at around £5.5 million.
CEO Helen Connolly said: “We remain focused on exploiting the opportunity afforded by the increasing demand for online shopping, whilst modernising the store offer and customer experience.”
