Having acted as interim CEO since the abrupt departure of Angela Spindler last Autumn, It has been confirmed that Steve Johnson will take the role on a permanent choice as interim.
Chairman Matt Davies said that since serving as interim Johnson had shown “strategic thinking, pace, energy and focus which demonstrates that he is the best person to take the business forward.”
Johnson takes on the role at a difficult time for the business which recorded a drop in sales over the Christmas trading period.
Prior to joining N Brown Johnson had been Shop Direct’s financial services product and marketing director, and previously a product director at Sainsbury’s having also held senior management positions with Halifax.
