Pierre Mestre of Orchestra has made an offer for the French Toys R Us retail chain. The offer is now subject to approval by the commercial court of Evry. Mestre says he is personally making the offer with a view to trading the stores independently of his Orchestra chain and intending to retain 38 of the outlets thereby saving 907 jobs.
