The Works has increased its revenues by 13.2 per cent to £217.5 million for the 52 weeks to April 28th. The retailer had opened a total of 50 new stores during the year to reach a total of 497 and is finding strong take-up in its click and collect service.
“Opening new stores remain our biggest driver of growth and we have taken advantage of the favourable property market by opening a net 50 new stores in the year,” said Kevin Keaney, CEO, The Works. Adding “We delivered good like-for-like sales across all channels, as our continued focus on product newness and our nimble buying strategy enabled us to anticipate customer demand for current trends and seasonal ranges.”
The business aims to have opened 50 more stores by the end of the current year.
