The Hut Group has raised £1bn in its latest funding round and is poised to further expand its activities. The multi-brand, primarily online, trading group operates online support services for a number of global consumer goods companies in addition to international activities for its own house brands. It is developing a new one million sq.ft. HQ office complex close to Manchester airport and is understood to have aspirations to make further acquisitions in the beauty and personal care products niche.
“Our business continues to evolve with the demands of consumers, as we continue to invest across the group to develop our people, infrastructure and particularly our proprietary eCommerce solution, Ingenuity,” said CEO Matt Moulding.
