True has appointed Ralph Tucker as CEO of The Cotswold Company to work alongside the management team in driving the next stage of growth of the business. Since True acquired the Cotswold Company in 2016 it has grown by over 50 per cent and now generates over £50 million in revenue, with plans to double in size over the coming years. The business operates five retail showrooms, advertises on TV and sells principally online.
Tucker has worked with N Brown for over five years as its chief product & trading officer. He commented: “The Cotswold Company has achieved tremendous growth under the leadership of its founder and CEO Kevin Johnson, and its ambitions over the coming years make it a hugely exciting business to be a part of. The opportunities to accelerate that already impressive growth provides the firm with the potential to dominate the online furniture category.”
Kevin Johnson to will remain actively involved in the company as a director said: “After 19 years building, growing and running The Cotswold Company, the business is now entering a new and exciting stage of growth and I am delighted to be bringing Ralph on board to drive the business forward.”
