In preparation for anticipated Brexit regulations and to fully incorporate and directly manage significant growth, Frugi, the Cornish organic children’s wear brand, is poised to open a DHL fulfilment operation on 14 February 2020 in the Netherlands. This will handle an increasing volume of European-based wholesale orders for the company. The operation will also fulfil all non-UK consumer orders. UK orders and non-EU wholesale orders will continue to be fulfilled from the UK.
New CEO Hugo Adams says about Frugi’s second warehouse opening, “We have been super busy shipping stock to the Netherlands and putting everything in place for this exciting new Frugi adventure. We are working closely with our friends at DHL so that they can receive and book in the stocks into early next week.” In line with Frugi’s sustainable mission, the new warehouse outside Utrecht is a large dedicated space in an energy efficient, BREAAM certified site that uses solar power and recycled rainwater technology.
