ASOS is ending the majority of the fixed term contracts it has in place for staff in its head office. In common with other businesses whose revenues are badly affected by Covid-19, Asos is looking to make significant savings across its operations even though its South Yorkshire based distribution centre is understood to be working at full capacity. It also countered claims from the GMB that its workers in its aforementioned distribution centre were not being as well protected as they should be in relation to the implementation of social distancing recommendations across the facility. The business countered that it had taken measures including the delaying of taking in shipments from some of its suppliers whilst it brought about the necessary changes to its working processes.
