Following a trial opening of twenty of its stores, Homebase has re-opened in a further fifty locations this week with its remaining stores scheduled for re-opening on May 2nd. The retailer has been operating an online service during the Covid-19 forced lockdown period. This had been over-subscribed at times and reliant on direct despatch suppliers, some of which lacked expertise is picking individual orders, as opposed to collating bulk wholesale shipments.
The re-opened stores which fully observe social distancing guidance, provide protection for staff as well as customers, are expected to be very busy over the coming bank holiday weekend.
