Primark has said that it will not be availing itself of the newly announced bonus for businesses which take employees back into full time work. Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced a £1000 per head bonus. John Lewis has also said that it will not be making a claim.
This follows announcements by other large employers who have pledged to repay furlough monies. 9.4 million employees have been supported by the furlough scheme.
