Dunelm says that sales in July rose by 59 per cent as customers returned to its re-opened stores. It also enjoyed strong trading in August, as it mounted its summer sale, with like-for-like sales rising by 24 per cent.
The company said: “The sales rise reflects the strength of our proposition within a resilient homewares market, positive footfall growth to our mainly out-of-town superstores and continued strong growth in our home delivery offer.”
Full-year sales were down by 3.9 per cent to £1.05 billion. Dunelm will share its preliminary results on 10th September.
