Tabletop gaming business Games Workshop which owns Warhammer has announced a 56.3 per cent rise in its pre-tax profits for the half year to November 29th. Coming in at £91.6 million on sales of £168.8 million despite its store sales falling by 18.5 per cent to £37.3 million, the business is one of many which has repaid furlough subsidies to the government.
CEO Kevin Rountree said that the results were another cracking performance from a truly amazing global team and that it had been a solid six months building on the great progress and profitable growth the business had been consistently delivery over the past five years.
Games Workshop was founded in 1975 as a mail order business for fantasy role playing games.
