ASOS is understood to be close to finalising an agreement with the administrators of Arcadia Group which would see the online retailer acquiring the Topshop and Miss Selfridge brands. A figure of £250m is being suggested plus a further consideration for stock.
ASOS management has been in exclusive talks with the administrators over the past week. Word is that it may be looking to take on the Topshop Oxford Circus store as part of the deal. This would create a major destination for Asos customers when restrictions lift.
A formal announcement is expected on 1st February 2021.
