Lloyds Pharmacy owner explores sale

US healthcare firm McKesson is understood to be considering selling the Lloyds Pharmacy chain.

According to reports by Sky News, McKesson has hired bankers at Barclays to explore what could be a £400m sale.

Lloyds Pharmacy is the largest community pharmacy network in the UK, with around 1,400 pharmacies (as at December 2020). McKesson’s UK portfolio also includes the Queen’s chemist John Bell & Croyden, Masta, and drug wholesaler AAH Pharmaceuticals.
