Hughes has extended its partnership with ArrowXL to include a new 24-hour delivery service, in addition to nominated day deliveries and home connection services.
The new deal will enable the UK electrical retailer to offer its customers a 24-hour delivery option on specific key lines, including washing machines and fridge freezers, it says. With, what it calls ‘essential’ stock to be kept at ArrowXL’s warehouse facility in Worcester.
Other product lines will be collected from Hughes’ Thetford warehouse and distributed nationwide.
All items will be fully trackable, with ArrowXL’s customer team to provide regular updates to Hughes’ customers on the progress of their delivery.
Simon Cox, eCommerce director at Hughes, said: “Our business was founded in 1921 and is now the country’s fourth largest specialist electrical retailer and the largest provider of home entertainment and kitchen appliance rentals. It is vital that we have the right delivery solutions in place to support this and, importantly the right partner.
“Over the past nine years ArrowXL has shown themselves to be a trusted partner and over the past 12 months have performed very well with all the changes thrown up by Covid and helped Hughes continue to grow.”
Craig Kavanagh, sales director at ArrowXL, said: “It’s always a great achievement when we extend contracts with established partners as it underlines that we are trusted with an important part of the customer experience. Our ability to offer a range of delivery solutions makes us increasingly appealing to a wide range of organisations who are committed to providing high standards across the supply chain.”
