VF Corporation, owner of Vans, The North Face, Timberland and Dickies brands, has opened its new multi-million-pound fulfilment centre in Bardon, Leicestershire, to support its long-term growth in the UK.
As the company’s main logistics hub in the country, the 600,000 square foot facility, with state-of-the-art automation capabilities, can serve almost 90 per cent of VF’s wholesale, eCommerce and retail customers in the UK within a day.
The centre, which will employ around 250 people during peak periods, has the capacity to manage the direct flow of parcel shipments up to 200,000 units per day. In addition, to 18 stations with the capacity to pick 170,000 units per day.
