New partnership facilitates international growth for retailers

Global eCommerce platform Kooomo and cross border eCommerce solution Go Global eCommerce have partnered to enable retailers to easily drive global expansion, removing the complexities of trading in various territories.

The partnership delivers a proposition which facilitates international growth. Go Global Ecommerce manages the complexities of cross border eCommerce at a legal and fiscal level and Kooomo acts as a facilitator of international sales with geolocation, multilingualism, handling of different VAT and currency positions, compliance with different legislations and the possibility of integrating different marketplaces.

Kooomo and Go Global eCommerce have already worked together on a number of projects including for the likes of Nestlé, Borsalino, and Gunnebo. Following the success of these projects, the decision was taken to solidify the partnership. Their project with Nestlé saw the companies come together to facilitate a new direct-to-consumer site launch for the Swiss multinational food and drink processing conglomerate. Nestlé had several projects to proof a diversity of new products in different markets. As Nestlé’s daily business is based on selling to its network of distributors, the building of a new channel in different geographies to serve specific direct to consumer projects was a potential problem. It selected the two organisations to help it fill this gap, enabling it to work with a new distributor that manages its direct to consumer transactions. This was done with a transparent approach in order to receive and analyse all information related to its new product concept.
