Pipers PE and the founders of Pet Food UK (PFUK) have sold the direct to consumer pet food business to Inspired Pet Nutrition (IPN). Pet Food UK developed the Barking Heads and Meowing Heads brands when it launched in 2009 and focused on premium natural pet food ranges. Buyer Inspired Pet Nutrition which is owned by CapVest is best known for its Harringtons and Wagg brands.
CEO of IPN James Lawson commented: “PFUK brings to IPN highly recognised super and uber-premium brands with a strong digital presence to augment our strong product portfolio and distribution channels.
