B&M enjoys positive golden quarter

B&M has posted total group revenues of £1.57bn for its third quarter – 25 September – 24 December 2022, which is 12.3 per cent up on the same period in 2021. Of this, B&M UK sales accounted for £1.3bn, up from £1.13bn.

The retailer also said that trading at its B&M France division was also strong with revenue increasing by 24.9 per cent year on year from £109m to £136m. It had also achieved 22.5 per cent growth for the quarter from its Heron Foods operation, which generated £129m.

Its FY23 EDITBA is now expected to be in the range of £560m-£580m.

CEO Alex Russo said: “Despite the challenging macro-economic environment, we will continue to work hard to help both existing and new customers manage the cost-of-living crisis.

“The business has exited the quarter well and will remain focused on disciplined execution.”
