Seasalt launches resale platform

Seasalt is the latest brand to enter the re-sale arena via Reskinned. It had partnered with Reskinned earlier this year for a take-back service enabling customers to send in unwanted items. Around 2000 garments have since been received which has enabled the brand to now progress to offer a resale service.

Seasalt CEO Paul Hayes said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the incredible response from customers getting involved in the take-back initiative and are delighted to be able to launch the resale service so quickly. It’s so important to us as a business to do what we can to encourage circularity in our industry and the success to date is testimony to the quality of the Seasalt product.”

All clothing received back by Reskinned is graded for quality and condition with items for resale selected, ozone cleaned and offered online via the Reskinned website. Reskinned co-founder Matt Hanrahan said: “At Reskinned, we’re opening up the pre-loved market to new shoppers. We do this by making buying preloved a straightforward as buying new, through our high-quality photography and 30-day returns policy.” Hanrahan went on to say that Reskinned has developed a loyal customer base and has a 30 per cent re-purchase rate.
