Footasylum which is owned by Aurelius has posted annual sales of £298m to Y/E January 28th, 2023. pre-tax profit had dropped from the previous year’s £11.1m to £2.8m – due, said the company, to legal expenses incurred which related to the CMA investigation following its acquisition by JD Sports, and £2.94m related to impaired IT systems.

The group said in a statement: “Footasylum is not immune to the widely reported challenges to physical retail in the UK, we remain conscious of the headwinds that prevail including the general macro-economic and geopolitical situation, and global inflation.”
