The Cotswold Company posts strong peak sales

Home furnishings retailer The Cotswold Company enjoyed a 13 per cent increase in its revenues in the nine weeks to December 31st, ’23, with the £16.4m total £1.8m over its peak trading results for the previous year.

With 80 per cent of its business generated online, it had made gains in its conversion rate and reduced its bounce rate. Meanwhile, its store revenues were up by 19 per cent, benefitting from increased footfall.

CEO Ralph Tucker said: “Our long-term focus on product quality, combined with investments in our omnichannel model, including optimising the online user experience, are driving conversions and customer engagement.

“Looking ahead, we are confident that our online-led model underpinned with high-quality service and products, as well as effective marketing investment, will enable us to deliver our medium-term strategic goal of becoming the UK’s leading, premium handcrafted homeware brand.”
