Cotswold Company posts robust half year results

Furnishings specialist The Cotswold Company has posted a 15 per cent increase in its half year sales for the six months to 25 August, reaching £40.1 million from last year’s £35m. It had grown active customer numbers by 21 per cent  and said that in-store sales had risen as a result of both the introduction of new categories and an increase in footfall.

CEO Ralph Tucker commented: “The Cotswold Company continues to go from strength to strength with sales growth significantly outperforming broader market data over the past six months.

“We have a clear strategy to become one of the UK’s leading premium homeware brands. Our investments in our multichannel proposition, geo-targeted digital marketing, and product and brand to ensure we have a best-in-class customer proposition have all delivered meaningful results.”
