The Cotswold Company bucks the trend with bumper Christmas trading

Furniture and homewares retailer The Cotswold Company saw a 22 per cent increase in year-on-year sales during the Christmas trading period (nine weeks to 29th December) with a 20 per cent increase in active customers.

During the period showroom sales grew by 66 per cent while online sales rose by 13 per cent. The retailer also gained B Corp status, opened its 10th showroom and successfully launched with Next & John Lewis.

In a statement posted on LinkedIn, Rob Tucker, CEO, The Cotswold Company said: “I’d like to thank everyone at The Cotswold Company for their hard work over the important Christmas trading period.

More and more consumers are moving away from ‘throwaway’ furniture in favour of high-quality, made-to-last products, and I am delighted that an increasing number of them are choosing to bring The Cotswold Company into their homes.”

The Cotswold Company is due to open its 11th store in Marlow later this week.
