Cotton Traders revenue rises to £113.5m despite ‘inflationary pressures’

Cotton Traders has reported growth in revenue and profit despite inflationary pressures and challenging trading conditions.

Revenue increased by 5.2 per cent to £113.5m in the 52 weeks to 27 December 2025, compared with £107.9m in the previous year.

Operating profit rose by 8.5 per cent on a comparable 52-week basis to £10.3m, while EBITDA increased by 1 per cent to £12.1m.

The fashion retailer opened six stores during the year, taking its estate to 94 sites. Online and catalogue channels generated 76.3 per cent of total sales.

Marketplace revenue climbed by 58 per cent following the addition of George at Asda and Next, increasing the number of marketplaces on which Cotton Traders operates from three to five.

The business also invested in its product offer, launching its CT Active and Rugby Heritage collections in December. Its womenswear range was expanded further with the introduction of the Sea Glass collection in March 2026.

Chief executive Nick Hamblin said the performance reflected continued customer loyalty, competitive pricing and investment across the retailer’s stores and online channels.
