Hotel Chocolat expands US presence

Hotel Chocolat, the British chocolatier now owned by Mars, is opening stores in three new US markets — Salt Lake City, Long Beach and Alexandria, Virginia — as part of a wider expansion across retail and travel channels.

The brand, which has built out six stores in the Chicago area since 2025, will also open concessions at 49 US airports and begin selling through Kroger, Wegmans and H-E-B supermarkets this autumn. Together, the additions are expected to take Hotel Chocolat to nine US locations by the end of the year, as part of a stated plan to reach 70 to 100 US stores within five to seven years. The expansion also includes an enhanced US eCommerce offering.
