The Very Group has introduced real-time personalisation technology designed to adapt the offers and prompts shown to online shoppers according to their apparent intent.
The digital retailer is working with Made With Intent, whose system uses more than 800 behavioural signals to predict what a customer may need during a shopping session.
Very said the technology can vary experiences across hundreds of intent combinations, including displaying individual discount offers or personalised payment prompts.
During the first month of the partnership, the company reported that revenue per customer increased by a fifth within one of the strategies using the technology. It also reported an improvement in overall conversion, although no figure was disclosed.
The result is an early company-reported measure rather than a full assessment. Very has not published the size of the customer group, the comparison period, absolute revenue figures or the method used to isolate the effect of the personalisation.
The deployment follows earlier investment by Very in AI-powered search, product discovery and customer-service tools.
