Insurance payout cushions Bravissimo as fire dents online sales

Bravissimo made a net profit of £4.17m in the year to 31 March 2026, with £12.67m of other income, mostly fire insurance recoveries, feeding into the result. Revenue was £51.78m.

The retailer changed its year end after Wacoal Europe bought it in September 2024, so the figures can’t be compared directly with the last set. That period ran for 17 months and brought in £79.27m.

The June 2025 warehouse fire disrupted fulfilment and replenishment, and online took the bigger hit. Website sessions fell 11.7 per cent to 12.32m, online conversion dropped 18.9 per cent to 3 per cent, and active customers fell 9.3 per cent to 544,785. Operations moved back to the main facility in January 2026.

Shops held up better. Footfall rose 2.7 per cent to 1.45m visits and store conversion edged up 1.9 per cent to 32.1 per cent.

Gross profit was £32.73m, a margin of 63.2 per cent against 61.8 per cent in the 17-month period. Operating profit was £4.51m and pre-tax profit £4.64m. Net profit came after a tax charge of £476,203.

Cash rose to £8.23m from £4.94m, and net assets to £21.19m.
