Alliance Data Systems Corporation has announced that its Epsilon
unit is to acquire Abacus, a division of DoubleClick Inc for
approximately £219 million ($435m). Abacus’ 525 employees,
including senior management will be integrated into Epsilon and
its services and will continue to carry the Abacus name under the
Epsilon brand. A key benefit of the acquisition will be a
stronger presence in the European market.
