The mail order and retail businesses of Travelling Light Ltd and
sister company Active Travel Apparel Ltd were acquired last month
by OR Clothing Company Ltd. The companies, which sell
warm-weather apparel, were put into administration on 22nd June.
Although OR has retained Travelling Light’s headquarters,
warehouse and seven stores, it did not acquire Travelling Light’s
clothing factory in Workington. As a result, 51 of the company’s
105 employees were made redundant.
