Department-store chain House of Fraser has asked
Lloyds to consider upping its stake in the business by turning a
property loan of almost £65 million into equity, reports the
Telegraph
Amazon.co.uk has added pet supplies to its
extensive product range. Launched on 1st October, the Amazon Pet
Supplies Store features more than 60,000 products including pet
food, bee nests and aquariums.
Apparel retailer Ted Baker saw sales in its UK
and Europe retail division in the 28 weeks to 14th August, rise
14.4 percent to £64.2 million. The UK continued to perform
well and was supported by improved trading conditions in the rest
of Europe during the period.
Shoe retailer Kurt Geiger, which was acquired by Graphite Capital
last year for £95 million, saw sales rise 17 percent to
£162 million for the year ending 30th January 2010. The
Telegraph reports that profits were up 21
percent to £14.7 million. Also of note, more than a tenth of
Kurt Geiger’s online sales were made “in the middle of the
night”.
Accessorize, the Monsoon-owned
accessories retailer, has gone live with its standalone
website.
